Earthworks Industries Inc. (‘Company”) wishes to report on the status of the updating process for the Company’s Cortina integrated waste handling development in Colusa County California. The 443-acre Cortina development is managed by the Company’s wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Cortina Integrated Waste Management Inc. (CIWM).
On behalf of CIWM, SCS Engineers (SCS) has been completing the necessary redesign work, which includes an updated final cover, supported by the Kletsel Environmental Regulatory Authority (KERA) after careful consideration of the alternatives. All technical requirements related to the Basis of Design have been addressed in this process.
After a News Release dated October 22, 2021, which anticipated a March completion, SCS provided the Company with an update advising that additional time is required, the necessary design documents should be finalized by the second week in April, and that a second round of water monitoring was completed in February.
The Company looks forward to completion of the redesign and moving forward with development at Cortina.
