Mr. David Atkinson

CEO and Director

David Atkinson founded Earthworks and is responsible for the financial and strategic planning requirements of both Earthworks and its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Cortina Integrated Waste Management, Inc. Mr. Atkinson was instrumental in the successful negotiation of a 25 year lease, renewable for 25 years, for the Cortina Project and he has spent several years working within the regulatory framework for development of the First Nations in North America and has a wealth of experience in that regard.

Mr. David Russell

CFO and Director

David Russell is a graduate of Queen’s University and its school of Business and has been involved in business consulting, accounting and management for 40 years. Mr. Russell has been responsible for the accounting and reporting functions for Earthworks since 2010 and has been its Chief Financial Officer for over 6 years. Mr. Russell continues as CFO of Earthworks.

Mr. Giulio Bonifacio

Director

Mr. Bonifacio has over 35 years of experience in senior executive roles in the mining industry in both the base and precious metals sector. Mr. Bonifacio was the Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Nevada Copper from 2005 until his retirement in February 2018. Mr. Bonifacio led and directed every stage of advancement of the Pumpkin Hollow copper mine from exploration, development, permitting and construction. Mr. Bonifacio is a Chartered Professional Accountant with considerable experience and knowledge of operations, capital markets and project finance while raising significant amounts of capital for projects of merit by way of project debt, offtake, and equity. During his 12 years at Nevada Copper Mr. Bonifacio successfully permitted both the underground and open pit operations at Pumpkin Hollow, which is the only permitted copper project of scale in the United States in the past 25 years.

Mr. Bonifacio has held previous senior executive roles with Getty Resources Limited, TOTAL Energold Corp., an energy and gold producer and Vengold Inc., gold producer prior to founding Nevada Copper in 2005. Mr. Bonifacio was formerly President, Chief Executive Officer and Non-Executive Chair of Faraday Copper Corp. from May 2018 until April 2022.

Mr. Bonifacio is currently the Executive Chair of Alta Copper Corp. and Non-Executive Chair of Nevgold Corp.

Mr. Calvin Woroniak

Director

Calvin Woroniak sits as an independent director and member of the audit committee. Mr. Woroniak brings with him 33 years of entrepreneurship and independent business experience including organic farming, construction/real estate and retail. Mr. Woroniak has owned, operated and managed large farming operations in western Canada. The latest, Freedom Farm Ltd., is an organic farming operation located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. The farm was sold in 2014, however he continued to manage the operation until May of 2018. Along with the practical experience, he has completed an Agricultural Business Management course.

Mr. Richard Powell

Director

Richard (Rick) Powell joins Earthworks Board with 30 years experience in all aspects of management and operations of a municipal waste management company. Rick has held General Manager positions with California companies Mill Valley Refuse, Stockton Recycling, Eel River Disposal and currently The Ratto Group. Rick has permitted, designed, built and run day to day operations of multiple transfer, C&D and recycling processing facilities.
